Qualifications
I bring extensive teaching experience across a variety of educational settings, including primary schools, high schools and TAFE.
My teaching career has taken me across the Mid North Coast, Lightning Ridge and Narrabri Shire, as well as internationally to London and Japan. Working with students across diverse educational, cultural and social contexts has given me a broad understanding of the different factors that influence children’s learning, behaviour, wellbeing and development.
Through my years in education, I have developed a strong understanding of how children learn, the importance of connection and relationships, and the role that their environment plays in their development. I have also seen first-hand how technology can influence students’ attention, engagement, relationships and ability to learn.
This knowledge and experience is a strong foundation for my work as a ScreenStrong Ambassador. I am passionate about helping families understand the impact of excessive screen use and supporting parents to create healthy boundaries around technology, while keeping children connected, engaged and thriving.
